Casa Real wedding photography

We had such an awesome wedding at Casa Real last year we have to show a few more shots of the wedding.   This was such a fun bride and groom to work with and also a great bridal party.  They all just had a blast all day and were open to do whatever to get some good shots.  Also one tip for future brides, if you really want some good photos of you and your fiance along with your bridal party make sure to plan enough time in your day for photography.  Also if you don’t mind seeing each other before the wedding it can be a perfect time to capture some great images of the two of you.  I know some people think its a tradition to not see each other or that the groom will not be amazed and surprised when he sees you walking down the aisle but it can really work to your advantage to take photos before.  Not only is there not as much stress and craziness going on because you aren’t surrounded by people but it can be a great opportunity to capture some images of the two of you alone and those times really can create some beautiful images.  A lot of weddings when the groom first sees you walking down the aisle he is standing in front of hundreds of people and normally is pretty nervous.  That takes a lot of emotion out of his expressions during this part of the day.  If the first time he sees you is alone without the hundreds of people staring at him it can be a really beautiful and genuine moments between the two of you that is captured on film.  No matter what you decide we will capture great shots of you but just something to think about for your day!

new website coming soon

I am excited to announce we are building a brand new website to showcase our wedding work and it will be unveiled soon!  This will be our 4th major update to our website in our 10 years of business and wow has it come a long way.  Right before the release we will be showing off some screen shots of our first blogs so check back to see some shots from the past.  We are going to release the new site in a few stages with lots of goodies along the way.  There is going to be some video added to the blog and lots of big images, I can’t wait to have it finished up and share it with everyone!

Testarossa Vineyards Wedding Photography

Here are a couple images from Simon and Shan’s wedding at Testarossa.  They had such a beautiful intimate wedding in the wine cave, a perfect setting for a wedding.  It was the first wedding I have photographed out at testarossa where the dinner was also in the wine cave and it really gave a nice feel to the dinner.  Everyone was seated at one large table so really were able to converse with the rest of the guests in a nice family style atmosphere.  Congrats again guys!

Wow, that’s hard. My wedding was the best one I can remember but that’s a given! I will say that my favorite moment is just before we send a Bride down the aisle. The nerves, the tears, the glow. I always tease the Dad (or who ever is walking them down) to give the Bride some last minute advice, and then I remind the Bride to breath and take in the moment because the rest of the day is going to fly by!

Breakfast at Tiffianys. I made my husband watch it with me before I married him.

last movie rental you watched …

The Dutchess. Made me thankful and made me cry.

where can you be found on days off …

What day off? Playing with my kids, checking out the farmers market and watching movies with my husband.

what superhero would you be …

I always wanted to be Supergirl when I was young (probably because she had blond hair like me). It would be cool to be able to fly and use all those abilities to get the long list I have daily done!

The ranch golf club wedding

Here are a few images from one of our December weddings.  The ceremony was at the beautiful St. Joseph’s Cathedral downtown San Jose and then we headed up to the Ranch Golf Club for the reception.  There are so many cool little corners to shoot up at the ranch and we captured some amazing light right when we got up there.  Here are a few of my favorite shots:

a few rare photos of me!

Since I am always the one with the camera it is very rare to have photos of me.   But with our first baby I really wanted to capture some photos of the 3 of us all together and had a photographer friend of mine capture some shots of the 3 of us.  Baby Faith was in a pretty bad mood that day but we still got some great images of us together and even the ones where she is having a little fit are so cute.  Memories of her at this little age are just priceless and it really made me appreciate how important family photos can be.   Here are just a few of my favorites from the shoot:
