recent magazine style albums

I love it when we get some new albums delivered to the studio, it always feels like Christmas opening up the packages.  Some of the last few albums we have done I really have been proud of the final product, the designs came out awesome and I want to keep them all for studio demos.  Here are a couple albums we just got in, they have an amazing metal cover and just look perfect.  For any of our past brides that never ordered an album now is the perfect time, with the off season right now we can do your design fast (in about a week) and get a really unique custom album to you quick.  If you need to have an album created let me know.

apple photobooth fun

Every once in awhile I love playing around with the Apple photobooth on my MacBook Pro. Some of the circus style effects just crack me up and I love making myself look like a alien Today in between client meetings I grabbed a few photos of myself and baby faith in the photobooth, here are just a few of my fav’s. beautiful wedding at the Ranch Golf Club

Congrats Ignacio and Louisana who were married last December at St. Josephs church in downtown San Jose.    St. Josephs is such a beautiful church I love to photograph in there, the detail inside is just amazing.  After the ceremony we headed up to the Ranch Golf Club for the reception.  We started off with some fun shots of the bridal party and even thought it was getting very cold out that evening, everyone in the bridal party was great, they had fun and you can’t even tell they were freezing in the photos!   The reception turned out fantastic , they had a great band that kept the dance floor packed all night.  It was a great group to work with and we created some amazing moments of the day.  Also a thanks to Amy Paris from Paris Designs for all of her coordination work, the day was so smooth!

help me pick a movie

With our new baby my wife and I haven’t been able to get out of the house much and haven’t seen a movie in the theater for awhile. Now that she is finally a little bigger and we can leave her with the grandparents for a couple hours we are trying to figure out what to watch next and for the first time in awhile there are actually a bunch of movies that look pretty good. I am usually a big film critic but there are 4 movies out there that look worth watching and since we might not get out too much its hard to decide which one to see. Here are my top 4 I want to see (in no order), put your comments down below if you have seen any and your recommendations.

- Gran Torino

- Slumdog Millionaire

- Notorious

- The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Santa Cruz wedding

Congrats to Ryan and Sonja our last wedding of 2008. It was a beautiful day in Santa Cruz, I couldn’t believe it was the end of December! What amazing weather, a nice sunny day in Santa Cruz which was perfect for an outdoor ceremony at the lighthouse on West Cliff Dr. Sonja cruised up in a nice yellow VW bus that dropped her off to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony we got some killer sunset shots of the bride and groom along west cliff and finished off the night at the Red Room downtown.

We are getting ready to release our new workshop schedule for spring but first I would like your feedback on what dates/times work best for you.  Anyone who is interested in our workshops leave us a quick comment below with the best day of the week and time for you to attend a workshop.  In the past our workshops have been full day workshops normally on a Friday, but I would love to hear from everyone to see if a different day would be better or maybe a 1/2 day in the evening instead of a full day?

Here are a few shots from Glenn and Juliet’s wedding at Bridges in San Ramon. What a fun bridal party we captured some great shots of them!  The reception was at Bridges and we stopped by the waterfall on bollinger canyon rd to capture some fun bridal party shots.  Also check out the red carpet they had as the guests walked into the cocktail hour!  The reception was designed and coordinated by the one and only Crystal from Amazae Special Events. Check out the reception shots to see the amazing job she did transforming the location!
