Local Print Comp
Local Print Comp
Last week a few of our prints scored over an 80 to receive an award atour local PPSCV meeting. (Professional Photographer of the Santa Clara
Valley). If there are any local photographers that read my blog,
we have some pretty good monthly speakers email me and I can send you
when are meetings are.
I always enjoy entering some of my favorite images into print
competition, it is good to hear constructive critisism and praise by your
peers. I think it can make anyone no matter how good they are a
better photographer by always trying to raise the bar.
The only part I have never liked about entering in prints to a
competition is you always have to name the print and I hate naming my
work. Even back in Art school I never really named prints that I
had in gallery shows, or if I did have to name them I would just pick
something that made no sense. For print comp I usually let
anyone that is around when I am filling out my form name the print for
me.
I think next time I will post my images on the blog here and let everyone out there name my prints for me :)
Anyway, here are a few prints that placed well, thanks to my clients for always making such great models.

Raul and Rachael
Rachael and Raul had a beautiful wedding this weekend up in Reno, NV. They were married on a golf course up in Reno and there was love in the air all day. You could just see the connection they have every time they looked into each others eye's, such a cute couple. I will post some images online later this week once I get a chance to get caught up with everything.
Congratulations guys, your day turned out great.

everyone was loving that :)
It was a great night and I was happy to be a part of it.

New site with list of venues
There are so many beautiful locations in the Bay Area to get marriedand each has their own unique flavor and style. To
help all of our Brides out there we have created a website that
showcases some of our favorite locations in the area. This is
still a work in progress and we will be continually adding new
locations and adding more photo's and information about the venues
here. If you have any comments about a location please email me
mark@wedclix.com.

Flowers
Flowers
People always tell me I look and act like my mom. Being a guy, Ihave always tried to fight it and tell everyone I think I look and act
more like my dad. But realistically I think I do have a lot of
things in common with my mom and my sister is more like my dad in some
ways.
One thing I think I definitely inherited from my mom is a love of
gardening. My dad also does like to garden but I think he just
helps out because my mom tells him to :)
My parents are always planing flowers and a vegetable garden and one
thing my mom does is take the seeds from flowers and starts to grow
little seedlings in small pots. Over the last few weeks she has
been sending over some little flowers for me to plant in the yard,
since we have a lot of old bushes and ivy in our yard that I don't
really like and have been pulling it out.
She gave me about 30 Foxgloves that I have planted and the first batch
bloomed for the last couple of weeks, they were really pretty to look
at and I had to take some photo's of them. (flowers and
photography, go hand in hand for me. I love to plant things and
watch them grow, and then once they are blooming I can photograph them)
Here are some photo's from the other day:

and while out in the backyard my baby "lucky" came to hang out with
me. Since we don't have any children yet, our 2 cats are spoiled
and pretty much are our babies. But lucky is just too cute:
